چکیده

I study derivative expansions of effective actions at finite temperature, illustrating how the standard methods are badly defined at finite temperature. I then show that by setting up the initial conditions at a finite time, these problems are solved. 1.1 Zero temperature I will work with a simple model of two real fields φ and η 1 L[φ, η] = 1 2 η∆ −1 η − 1 2 gφη 2 + L 0 [φ], (1) and integrating out the η field gives

Estimation of the Strength of the Time-dependent Heat Source using Temperature Distribution at a Point in a Three Layer System

In this paper, the conjugate gradient method coupled with adjoint problem is used in order to solve the inverse heat conduction problem and estimation of the strength of the time- dependent heat source using the temperature distribution at a point in a three layer system. Also, the effect of noisy data on final solution is studied. The numerical solution of the governing equations is obtained b...

EFFECT OF TIME-DEPENDENT TRANSPIRATION ON AXISYMMETRIC STAGNATION-POINT FLOW AND HEATTRANSFER OF A VISCOUS FLUID ON A MOVING CIRCULAR CYLINDER

Effect of time dependent normal transpiration on the problem of unsteady viscous flow and heat transfer in the vicinity of an axisymmetric stagnation point of an infinite circular cylinder moving simultaneously with time-depended angular and axial velocities and with time-dependent wall temperature or wall heat flux are investigated. The impinging free stream is steady with a strain rate . A re...

Heat kernel expansions at finite temperature of massless QCD and chiral quark models generate effective actions relevant for both low and high temperature QCD. The key relevance of the Polyakov Loop to maintain the large and non-perturbative gauge invariance at finite temperature is stressed. In the imaginary time formulation of quantum field theory [1], finite temperature is introduced by impo...

Large gauge invariance in non-Abelian finite temperature effective actions

We analyze large gauge invariance in the non-Abelian, finite temperature context and its physical consequences for D53 effective actions. After briefly reviewing the structure of bundles and large gauge transformations that arise in nonsimply connected 3-manifolds and gauge groups, we discuss their connections to Chern-Simons terms and Wilson-Polyakov loops. We then provide an invariant charact...

The Effect of Exchange-Correlation Holes on the Temperature Dependent Dynamic Dielectric Function of Single-Layer Quantum Wells and Coupled Nanolayers

In this paper, for the first time we have studied theoretically the effect of exchange-correlation holes around electrons in GaAlAs/GaAs/GaAlAs nanostructure on the temperature-dependent dynamic dielectric function of two-dimensional electron gas by employing random phase, STLS and Hubbard approximations. Also, we have investigated another interesting system which is coupled quantum wells struc...
